Last week a video of 25-year-old Shidea Lane being punched by a Cleveland bus driver while on her way to work. In an interview with Cleveland’s Fox 8 News, Lane discusses what happened.

She tells her side of the story, and says that the way he punched her felt like a “finishing move” on the video game, Mortal Kombat (one of my favorites by the way):

[He] didn’t think I had any money to get on the bus and I was looking for it, trying to tell him that I have money to get on the bus. From there, it just escalated.

It’s amazing to see how a man could hit a woman that hard. Are you serious? You could have pulled me off the bus. For real? You gonna punch me? It felt like I was on Mortal Kombat. It just hurt . It was almost like a ‘Finish Him!’ type of hit.

She also doesn’t think she played a role in the fight and says she did not hit the bus driver first. However, witnesses from the incident say that Lane was very obnoxious and appeared to be drunk.

Watch the video above and let me know what you think. To see the original video of her being punched, click here.
