R&B singers Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank have linked up to form the new R&B supergroup TGT in the hopes of bringing back the soulful, heartfelt “realness” of R&B.
The group follows in the footsteps of the 90’s group LSG (Gerald Levert, Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill) and just inked a deal with Atlantic Records. I don’t know about ya’ll, but I’m excited about this! I love Trey Songz, but his overly sexed up music is getting old to me. I need a little bit more.
According to Tank, TGT is going to bring that “real” thing back:
“TGT is a lifestyle. It’s about bringing that real thing back. Real men. Real singing. Real love. Anything associated with the Temptations, the O’Jays, Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass…I can go on and on.”
Check out the video (above) of the group rehearsing and showing everyone just how serious they are.
