It looks to be an interesting week in the hip hop world as we gear up for several mixtape releases. Big Sean drops his new mixtape “Detroit” next week on September 5 and features a wide array of artists from Juicy J and Chris Brown to Wiz Khalifa and J. Cole.

And this week marks the return of ‘Mixtape Weezy’ as Lil Wayne has finally announced a release date for his highly anticipated continuation of his ‘Dedication’ series with DJ Drama. Dedication 4 drops on Thursday, August 30th so keep your eyes and ear open.

And finally, anticipation for Kanye West and crew’s G.O.O.D. Music compilation album “Cruel Summer” is going through the roof. It initially was supposed to be released August 7 but has been pushed back to September 4. Pusha T confirmed that the album was in its “final final final stages”

“I’m on my way to Hawaii [where Kanye is recording] so I’m gonna get to lend an ear to it and later on today give my opinion on what I think. Maybe it may want some tweaking, or maybe I’ll love it in its entirety, but it’s in its final final final stages.”

So get your iPod’s ready, cause it’s gonna be a good few weeks!
