Two Miami residents have launched a “Halloween Hoodie Campaign” to honor the death of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old shot by neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman as he walked home from a 7-Eleven store. He was wearing a hoodie when he was killed.
After Martin’s death, many people posted photos of themselves wearing hoodies. The campaign encourages people to wear hoodies to help put an end to stereotyping. I think it’s a decent idea, but I’m not sure if the timing is right.
Watch the campaign video above and tell me what you think. Do you think they will be successful?
